WEEK 8 / The Ocean at the End of the Lane

So, with this one, I tried to get into it. I really did.

But I just couldn't get through the whole thing. There is something about Gallman's narration style that just doesn't appeal to me. It often comes off as flat, one dimensional, and boring.

The story itself is weird and very unpredictable which is refreshing, but right now I don't know if I would sink in more time to finish it. Although, I really like the part where the narrator gets to revisit his childhood home as I'm a sucker for nostalgia.

Overall, I wanted to like this one way more than I actually did.

Especially since I'm a fan of Coraline.
